We spend the day on the Meander Valley where the famous ancient River Meander runs into the Aegean Sea. We first visit the Temple of Apollo located at Dydima. This was the most important oracle found in Asia Minor and it was linked to the ancient city of Miletus located not far from Didyma.
Miletus was founded as a Greek colony and it was an important Roman city with a very busy harbor that silted up in the course of centuries.
Our final stop today will be at Priene built on a hillside overlooking the vast plain of the Meander.
Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.
